Topic: Writing about Holiday Activities

You wouldn't believe what happened last Fridaywhen people celebrated the day of establishing Youth Union- 26th March 2010 in my school. It was really fun and wonderful!

That day, the weather was cool and fresh,different from some days before:hot and dry. Firstly, we had a meeting to remember the history of the Youth Union. it took about 30 minutes. After that, we had some entertaining activities such as: selling foods,a fashion show, playing sports games, etc... My class sold "Bánh bò"- a traditional cake of Vietnam. They're soft, sweet,delicious, having good smell and...cheap, so we sold many cakes. Our work of selling finished early- 10 a.m. At the same time we sold foods, there was a fashion show on the schoolyard. It attracted many people. the speciality of this show was all the clothes made from paper and some materials which are not harmful to the environment. Though those materials are difficult to make clothes, student also use them to make many beautiful clothes for teens. People who watched this show showed great enthusiasm for that. After the show, there were 3 prizes 1st, 2nd, 3rd for 3 classes which had the most beautiful clothes. And my class won the 3rd prize. It was wonderful, wasn't it? Personally, I think that It was the most exciting activity on that day! Besides the fashion show and selling foods, we also played some sports games, especially Tug of war and women football. As you know, Tug of war and football are very popular not only in Vietnam but also all over the world. That's why we choose them to play on March 26th. There were many students joining in those games and they seemed very excited. Luckily, those games ended with a good result!

You know, in Vietnam, we don't have many outdoor activities for students like in foreign countries, so a day like March 26th is very useful. It helps us more confident, healthy and especially, it helps us understand our friends better, so we can promote our friendship. I hope we can have more outdoor activities. I really enjoy it! After that day, I have learned more from my friends: the way to make myself confident and how to understand other people. It was such a beautiful dream with me!
